Ebonwood

Ebonwood trees have the hardest wood of any plant in the Valley of the Mage.[1] This wood is used to make furniture, staves, art objects, and occasionally arrows, buckles, flutes, hilts, mugs, and plates.
Ebonwood trees are very tall, and the tree people build their wood and thatch homes high in their branches.[1]
Ebonwood should not be confused with the similarly-named darkwood.
