- Potato and rice dishes—common in the Free City[70]
- Spicy bean recipes—common in the south.[71]
- Seafood—the Wild Coast is especially known for this[71]
- "Rice and vegetable concoctions made across the plains of the Flanaess."[71]
Restaurant fare in the Free City
- Red Serpent Restaurant is known for "an assortment of pepper-and-rice dishes".[72]
- Wizard's Hat Inn—"widely known for its excellent spiced venison dishes with potatoes and rice",[73] "specialty roast venison brought in by huntsmen in the Gnarly Forest", simmered and marinated for days.[70]
Types of meat
Meat is prepared in a dizzying array of ways, too numerous to list individually. Some examples include pot roast, steak, or stew; meats may be baked, fried, smoked, salted,[74][75][1] jerked,[76] dehydrated (dried),[77] or pickled[75][78]; and various portions like filet, shank, hock, ribs, tenderloin, etc.

- Molvarti—a type of Ketite premot goat cheese[33]

- Purple worm heart—considered a delicacy (at least by beholders?)[122]
