Rick "Duicarthan" Miller is a Greyhawk fan-creator and author of an article in Dragon magazine about Greyhawk magic items.

Early life and education

Rick Miller was born in Ohio in May 1976.[1] He attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1997-1999, majoring in Graphic Design. He also attended Kent State university from 2000-2002.[2] Miller is a long-standing member of the Greyhawk community. He joined the AOL Greyhawk community c.1993 when TSR had exclusive content there. He also participated in the old Greytalk listserve email list and IRC chats, especially the Thursday Group. Before he became editor of the Oerth Journal in 2005, he was highly active 1995-1998 in the fan community.[note 1]

Miller has worked in an interesting array of positions, including a Lab Assitant, Environmental Services, maintenance, and even a turkey farm! He's done work on official an WotC RPGA adventure, "Wings of the Rakers.[2]

Personal life

Miller is a fan of many sci-fi and fantasy topics like a variety of movies, TV shows, and comics—such as Lord of the Rings, Marvel superheroes, Dragonlance, Dragonball Z, Highlander, and Star Wars. He listens to heavy metal and rock, in addition to classical music.[1]

Greyhawk works

Rick Miller is perhaps best-known as a former Editor-in-Chief of the Oerth Journal. From 2005 to 2011, Miller worked with Assistant Editor Brian "Cebrion" McRae to publish issues #17 to #26.

Miller also contributed articles for those issues, making him a Contributing Editor, as well. Additionally, Miller contributed various illustrations in those same issues.
