GreyhawkGrognard, aka Joseph Bloch, runs the Greyhawk Grognard blog (currently located at greyhawkgrognard.com). He has been playing Dungeons and Dragons since 1977 and wargames for longer than that, and has been a fan of the World of Greyhawk since before it was first published, gleaning hints into its nature from the original Greyhawk supplement and Dungeon Masters Guide books.

He is a long-time member of Greyhawk fandom, being active in the old AOL message board days, and most currently on Canonfire! as well as his blog. He's pretty sure he was the first to use the term "canon" in the context of Greyhawk (a crossover from his Star Trek fandom endeavors), but can't prove it, and is happy to go with "one of the first to use the term" in casual conversation. He authored the article, "See the Pomarj... And Die!" in Dragon #167.

He is the author of the Castle of the Mad Archmage adventure module, which was published serially on his blog from 2009-2010, and which is scheduled to be published by Black Blade Publishing in 2012. He is also the author of Adventures Dark and Deep, which explores what Advanced Dungeons and Dragons might have looked like if Gary Gygax had been able to continue developing it, based entirely on his public statements and other works.

He lives in northern New Jersey with his wife and daughter, and frequents game conventions in the area. If you see someone with a button that says "SPI Died For Your Sins", strike up a conversation!
