''Vecna: Hand of the Revenant'' recounts [[Vecna]]'s siege of the city of [[Fleeth]] and includes flashbacks to Vecna's days there as a boy, some 900 years prior to the siege.  The work's introduction includes a statement that the book is a portion of the''[[Chronicle of Secret Times]]'' by [[Uhas of Neheli]], made in-character by Uhas himself.{{csb|VHotR|1}}

In addition to Vecna, the novel also features [[Kas]], [[Acererak]], the [[Serpent]], and Vecna's mother, [[Mazzel]]. 

== Publishing history ==
The graphic novel is referred to on the title page as "Book One", and it ends on a rather large cliffhanger.  It is presumed there might have been a "Book Two", but one was never published.
