Patriarch '''Larissen''' is the head priest of Zilchus in [[Kalstrand]],{{csb|Ivid|127}} He sought refuge in the cathedral there after fleeing [[Rauxes]] with little more than the clothes on his back. He is not particularly evil, despite living in the former [[Great Kingdom]]. He disliked the idea that he was being manipulated by then-Prince [[Xavener]] just after the [[Greyhawk Wars]] to gain power, though he understood that it would be a good thing if Xavener took the Malachite Throne.

== Description ==
The patriarch is six feet tall and is bald, but that is "offset by splendid graying muttonchop side-whiskers."{{csb|Ivid|127}} He has gray eyes with deep bags underneath and a heavily lined face.

==Equipment and Possessions==
Because Larissen is the priest of a god of money and business, being forced to leave the majority of his wealth and magical items behind while fleeing Rauxes was particularly upsetting for him. One of the few magical items he managed to maintain was his ''+5 chainmail''.{{csb|Ivid|127}}

==History==
The Patriarch was head of the Church of Zilchus of all [[Great Kingdom|Aerdy]], but was forced to flee after his fight with [[Ivid V]] at the end of the Greyhawk Wars. He was taken in by then-Prince Xavener and Patriarch Cherench, the local Patriarch of Zilchus. After he arrived though, he was functionally under house arrest at their insistence, due to concerns over his safety.  This led to bitterness because he resented his loss of freedom, but was forced to be grateful to them for saving his life.{{csb|Ivid|121}}
