==Description==
Malphas usually appears as a 7-foot tall humanoid, but can also assume the form of a great, crow-like black bird.

==Relationships==
Malphas is a vassal of Tiamat, who leads 40 companies of [[abishai]]. Each company contains 333 abishai each. Malphas also works to keep the outcast [[Rabble of Devilkin]] in line.

==History==
Amduscias originally served [[Zariel]], the previous lord of [[Baator#Avernus|Avernus]], but was granted into the service of Tiamat in exchange for the dragon queen's aid in guarding the entrance to the second layer of Hell. This arrangement continued unchanged with the reign of [[Bel]].
