Eldrua is a derro savant who leads a tribe of Orcus-worshipping derro in the Crystalmist Mountains.

Description

Eldrua is an unusually gaunt derro with blue skin, pure white eyes, and golden hair. Her voice is grating and ugly. Her body is engraved with tattoos depicting Orcus, the Wand of Orcus, and other things of Abyssal nature. She wields a scythe known as the Scythe of Orcus and rides a nightmare. She has created four simulacra of herself to hunt the humans of Sterich and steal their heads.

Relationships

Eldrua is allied with a death slaad called Drusalakas.

Home

Eldrua dwells in the Hold of Jarl Gnorgrak, which was once the lair of a frost giant tribe and contains a portal to the Abyss.

History

Eldrua has worshipped the demon lord Orcus since she was a child. As she grew older, the Abyssal ruler saw her promise and offered her power and secrets. Soon she had conquered her tribe and converted them, too, the worship of the Prince of the Undead. After some time, Orcus sent her a vision inspiring her to wrest a mysterious portal beneath the earth from a tribe of giants.

When the giants invaded Geoff and Sterich a month later in 584 CY, Eldrua took advantage of their distraction to conquer the cavern containing the portal. Then Eldrua experienced a second vision instructing her on the construction of a Deadgate, an ancient artifact from the Suel Imperium that would siphon souls into the Outer Planes.
