Nauskiree are tall, spindly, bizarre-looking creatures occasionally sighted in the lands of the northern Flanaess.

Ecology

Nauskiree are normally solitary hunters, lying in wait for their prey. They are sometimes enslaved by frost giants and used as guardians.

Environment

Nauskiree are thought to have originally migrated into the Flanaess from the northern continent of Telchuria before the Twin Cataclysms, and are now found in Blackmoor, the northern Empire of Iuz, Stonehold, and the Thillonrian Peninsula.

Typical physical characteristics

Nauskiree have four skeletal limbs so long they are sometimes mistaken for tree trunks. Their skin is gnarled like bark. Their bodies are somewhat humanoid in shape, but their forelimbs are so heavy they can only rear up on their hind legs for a moment or two. They have long, long necks with fanged, skull-like faces capable of reaching the ground.

Society

Language

Nauskiree can normally speak only a rudimentary form of Auran, but those who devour sapient creatures often sometimes learn a few languages in other tongues as well.
