Bastion of Faith (1999) p.44 asserts that the conquest of the Shield Lands occurred in 582 CY. However, Wars (1991), Adventurer's Book p.9, more clearly asserts that Iuz's conquest of the Shield Lands took place in Flocktime 583 CY.

The incorrect date of 582 CY is perhaps a misreading of From the Ashes (1992), Atlas p.6, which notes that the fall of the Shield Lands took place after the fall of Tenh in 592 CY but before the Battle of Critwall Bridge in 583 CY. However, the original source, Wars, makes it more clear that fall of Shield Lands occurred after Iuz returned to his homeland in 583 CY, after his conquest of the Horned Society in Coldeven. The Battle of Critwall Bridge took place soon after the fall of the Shield Lands.

Notes
