Justcrown Province is a province of the Kingdom of Nyrond.
Description
The south-central lands of Nyrond have long included the king's own lands, some of which lie west of the Duntide River, as well as the national capital, Rel Mord. As of Spring 585 CY, there were no towns larger than 4,000 despite over 300,000 people living in the area. Nyrond's kings always used their power to prevent large settlements developing and becoming a threat. Local land-holders could do little to argue given the king ruled his lands by edict, administered his lands via the bailiff-general, and had the army stationed in Rel Mord.[1]
Immediately after the Greyhawk Wars the area was as impoverished as any in Nyrond with fields untilled due to ruined farmers having fled, beggars prowling even the highways, and bandits and peasants ambushing merchants or even adventurers (despite being obviously better equipped and armed). The region featured empty barns, vanishing livestock, hollow-eyed locals, with prowling militias, levies and bandits.[2]
King Lynwerd as part of his reforms of Nyrond reorganized provincial administration which commenced Needfest 1, 591 CY. Justcrown Province was created as a royal province around the national capital of Rel Mord. King Lynwerd I was the provincial ruler.[3]

In the Living Greyhawk campaign, the Province featured in a number of adventures. It was also detailed in the "Nyrond Gazetteer" fan-created sourcebook.
