Kurast's Tower is a wizard's tower in the Kingdom of Nyrond at the source of the Flessern River.
Geography
Kurast's Tower is located at the source of the Flessern River, where the river rises to the surface abruptly from a system of aquifers and flows from a prominent hill overlooking of the landscape.[1] The tower is located at the northern end of The Sword Road.
History
A humble 40-foot has been built on top of the hill. In Spring 585 CY, due to the location of the tower on the border with the former Prelacy of Almor, a garrison of 400 troops was stationed there[2]. The tower is owned by a Kurast, a water elementalist. The tower's dungeons open into the caverns below the hill which Kurast uses to conduct magical experiments.[1] Kurast had used water elementals to more than once destroy orcs attempting to advance into Nyrond.[2]
