Ayelerach, in the original Lake Geneva Greyhawk campaign, was a companion of Erac's Cousin. With him, Ayelerach inadvertently helped free the demon prince Fraz-Urb'luu from his imprisonment by Zagig Yragerne.
The first edition Monster Manual II refers to Ayelerach as a cleric, but other sources call him a fighter (9th level at the time of his encounter with Fraz-Urb'luu) or a paladin.
Description
As a "name level" PC, Ayelerach was a landowner whose barony provided him with considerable riches.
Relationships
Ayelerach was an adventuring companion of Erac's Cousin (played by Ernie Gygax) and a rival of the Monk with No Name, who was played by Terry Kuntz.
History

Creative Origins
Ayelerach was played by A. Mark Ratner, who also played Neb Rentar. According to Gary Gygax in his "Up on a Soapbox" column for Dragon Magazine #320, Ratner's original Ayelerach (named "Eylerach" in the article) was a paladin.
However, in the same column in Dragon #308, Ayelerach (spelled that way) was called a fighter by Robert J. Kuntz, who co-DMed the campaign with Gygax. Kuntz claimed the same thing in the Oerth Journal #5.
It is possible that Ayelerach and Eylerach were actually different characters, but Kuntz credits Ayelerach with the same adventure involving Fraz-Urb'luu that Gygax credits Eylerach with.
