Brothers of the Bronze is a fellowship based in and around the forests of Nyrond.
Description
The group is a fellowship dedicated to protecting the threatened woodlands of the Celadon Forest and Gamboge Forest in Nyrond, to ally with the good-aligned folk of the Adri Forest, to stop Nyrondese over-exploitation of the nominally independent Celadon, and open a land corridor between eastern Nyrond and the western reaches of the Adri. Members take their name from a small piece of bronzewood always worn on their person as a symbol of their membership.[1]
History
Immediately after the Greyhawk Wars members were angry with King Archbold III due to allowing exploitation of the Celadon Forest. They were not amongst Archbold's council, but were rumored to have the sympathies of Crown Prince Lynwerd.[1]
Baron Bastrayne of Woodwych's explotation of the Celadon Forest earned the ire of the Celadon wood-folk. The Defenders of Celadon, militant wood-folk opposing Bastrayne based in Copperstead, counted militant Brothers of the Bronze among them. However, other Brothers argued strongly against any attacks on people.[2]
After the Greyhawk Wars small groups of Brothers were among the new settlements springing up in the Gamboge Forest, training wood-folk in fighting skills, supplying weapons and teaching children, and also boosting morale and a sense of community. They promoted woods-folk of different forests to work together.[3]
Members
The members comprise woods-folk, rangers, druids, and some priests, mages, and warriors. Members are generally good aligned. Most members believe that the fate of the forests they protect is best protected with a strong Nyrond, but this does not mean they are necessarily patriots.[1]
Archdruid Immonara of the Adri Forest is one of the leaders of the Brothers.[4][5][6]
Gelleflair Entrell of Entrell Estates has friends amongst the Brothers of the Bronze.[7]
The Brothers have friends and contacts throughout the forests of the Flanaess.[8]

In the Living Greyhawk campaign, the Brothers of the Bronze were a metagaming organization in the Nyrond region players could belong to, although it was referred to as the Brotherhood of the Bronze.
In the Nyrond region campaign there was a long running feud between the Brotherhood and Baroness Verin Talnith of Woodwych. She believed her son, Adrean, who died in 589 CY was killed by them which they denied. She named the settlement Adrean's Landing after him.[9]
