The Royal Duchy of Womtham is a province of the Kingdom of Nyrond.
Description
Prior to the Greyhawk Wars Duke Finellan Boomgren held Womtham as his ducal seat.[1]
The eastern lands of Nyrond feature livestock and grain production, but also are subject to threats of humanoid raids from the Bone March and the Great Kingdom (later North Kingdom). As such, these lands also are constantly heavily garrisoned.[1]
King Lynwerd as part of his reforms of Nyrond reorganized provincial administration which commenced Needfest 1, 591 CY. The existing Duchy based in Womtham was made one of the provinces.[2] The Royal Duchy expanded the previous lands of the Duke.

In the Living Greyhawk campaign, the Barony featured in a number of adventures. It was also detailed in the "Nyrond Gazetteer" fan-created sourcebook.
The campaign featured ongoing tension and feuding between the Duke and General Osmeran, in charge of royal troops in the Duchy. Duke Boomgren gained lands as part of the provincial reorganization, and again with the creation of the Duchy of Almor.[4] The Duke supported Sewarndt after he staged a coup on the last day of 594 CY. The Duke was infected with lycanthropy, and arrested Boomgren then sent him to Sewarndt as a gift. After being rescued by agents of the Grey Seer, Osmeran marched on Womtham and the Duke was killed during its liberation.[5] Osmeran later acted as regent for the Duchy.
