Dark Gate is a township within the The Yeomanry League, located approximately twelve miles from the city of Westburn.
History
Between 576 and 579 CY, a large cavernous tunnel was located in the foothills of the Crystalmist Mountains. This tunnel is said to lead to the Sea of Dust, cutting through and under the entire mountain range. It is thought to be the Passage of Slerotin, used by the Suel during the Great Migrations, the location of which had been lost for centuries.
This discovery has brought renewed, and mostly unwanted, attention to the Yeomany. To handle the great amount of activity that began to transpire in this region, especially in regards to adventuring and adventurers, the town of Dark Gate was established.
