Surge is a magical trident, the companion of the more famous Wave.
Description
Surge is intelligent and lawful evil in alignment. It exists solely to provide death and disfigurement to those who do not bow down to the ancient, forgotten demigod Anguileusis.
Powers
The signature power of Surge is the opposite of Wave's; where Wave dehydrates its victims, Surge superhydrates them, damaging their tissues with salty water. It also grants its wielder the power to breathe and move freely in water (for those who cannot already), to power bind a water elemental, and invulnerability to nonmagical weapons. It can also periodically transport its wielder to a place of safety.
History
Surge was created by the same group of cyclopes that created Wave.
