Jawal Severnain is a male drow. He typically wears a cowl, but he has "sharp aquiline features, inky black skin, silver hair, and piercing violet eyes".[1]

Among those Severnain respects are Mordenkainen and Kieren Jalucian, the latter of whom he is "firm friends" with[1], and who trusts him implicitly.[3] He also respects members of the Circle of Eight.
He also formed a strong relationship with Head Porter Darnak Khorshkan during Darnak's time at the Guild, before Darnak's post-war retirement.[2] He would occasionally stop to share a pipe and drink with Severnain in the library.
