The Duchy of Dorlin is one of the earliest settled regions to be incorporated into the Kingdom of Keoland upon the realm's formal establishment in -342 CY. The Keoish capital of Niole Dra, now officially occupying its own small independent Royal District, was originally founded by the Suel noble House Neheli to rule the inhabitants of the Duchy of Dorlin.
The County of Marlbridge seceded from the Duchy of Dorlin during the Short War of 438 CY. The Barony of Dilwych seceded from the Duchy of Dorlin some time during the last century.[1]
