Willnend is a backwater town that's lost its former glory and is now mostly a gathering place for people at lose ends, who come to enjoy Beory's Draught, the cloudy mahogany-brown ale that is brewed in town.
History
Before the Greyhawk Wars, the town was once a trade hub, and a host to a fair along the Windmarch, during Goodmonth, but after trade dried up, it became a bit of a backwater.
Geography
The town is roughly halfway between Torrich and Phallanx and is on the road leading to Forinn as well.
People
The town tends to attract people such as adventurers, out of work mercenaries, and previously, men who left behind the horrors of the warfront in Medegia—but nobody of any particular power.[1]
Rumors and legends
Creative origins
In Ivid the Undying, Willnened is described as a place for low level PCs to gain some experience with intrigue.[1]
