Darnakurian's Doom is a tragedy long time ago which befell the City of Summer Stars. Those who know the tale do not speak of it. Mordenkainen, Philidor, Gywdiesin, Calendryen of the Vesve, Immonara, and the Silverbow Sages of the Lendore Isles are among that rare few, and perhaps one or two other mortals.[1]
It's the story of Queen Sharafere's eldest son Darnakurian who, during crisis, fell to temptations from dark forces across the planes. To protect the City of Summer Stars from Ur-Flannae enemies he forged a dark and powerful sword called Hunger. That sword consumed him and became his and his City's downfall. The sword drove him mad, and he "slew thousands in a matter of hours", including his mother, his own people, and Ur-Flan necromancers, driving them from the Adri.[1]
Today the City of Summer Stars is locked away from the mortal world in the heart of Coldwood in Adri Forest.[1]
