We are constantly writing a plethora of new articles, and we have over 2,000 new articles just in the last 6 years!
But, as always on any wiki, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Below are instructions for adding new stuff!
Please feel free to register, to get the benefit of notifications, messages, and a Watch List. Once you do, then add and edit new articles about your favorite topics including people, places, and things in the World of Greyhawk™.
We look forward to all the contributions, and all the support that comes from the community. It is together that we will be able to continue to have a great wiki for the whole fan community to use!

Wiki's Purpose

This wiki's purpose is to define a "baseline" for Greyhawk fans to use. The wiki generally favors officially published content over fan-created content, and we do our best to include citations or bibliographical citation from official material from the IP holder.

More information is available regarding official or apocryphal sources on the article discussing Official Material.

Please improve the articles in any way you can.

If you don't know how to edit a wiki, there's even editors who can help! Just click the "Edit" link on any section) to write some text, and editors will help by adding formatting and wiki-links and stuff!

• Feel free to Register, and make edits to the GH Wiki!
• Registration is not strictly required because we want to encourage as many editors to contribute as we can, although, we highly encourage it, because it'll allow you to watch topics that are of interest to you, and get notified when someone posts new research or information on your favorite topic!

It will also let you edit without having to go through an anti-bot authentication test.

• Click the "Discussion" tab at the top of any article for a "Talk" article, because we love to include our community members and talk with them to decide things across many of our other social networks!

How to Help

Wanted! Good Greyhawk articles!

• There's already a list of articles we need!! Take a look at our Wanted Pages or create an article for one of our Unused Images!
• If you search the wiki and there's not already a article on your favorite topic, you can create a new article! A Red Link means the article does not exist. If you click any red link, it will take you to a creation page straightaway! Or, if you know the article you want to create already …

1. First, be sure to check to see if a article or sub-heading exists for the topic using the search bar above!
2. Then, make sure you have the spelling and name correct.
3. There's Writing Guidelines which will help you with templates you can fill out, and information on how to add categories!
4. Finally, create a new article just by visiting the New Article Templates page. Choose the type of article you want to create, and you follow the link there to the appropriate Template.
   Place the name of the subject you want to write about in the blank box and click "Create New Article"! and it will generate all the standard sections and place an infobox template for you to fill in!!

• You can also help by inserting links to Orphaned Pages on other already existing wiki articles, or by expanding our Short Articles and Stubs.
• Uploading images is another really easy way to help out—see the Special:Upload page!
• You can find a list of useful templates on Category:Templates, and there are many Categories that are still being improved and refined.
• There's even some basic writing tips for the GloG which might help point you in the right direction.

• Things are constantly being added, and we're reformatting many things—but a Wiki is always a project in process.
  So, be patient if you cannot find what you're looking for (or create it, even). Questions about the wiki? Post a message at Abra Saghast's talk page or email the site administrators.

Policies and Guidelines

• The standard policies for the Great Library of Greyhawk wiki can be found at Policies. General use, terms of use, files, images, or copyright are also further discussed in more detail on individual pages for Copyright, Code of Conduct, image use, and Manual of Style.
• There's always room for improvement and we're always working on making the GLoG GH Wiki better. So, we have some basic Writing Guidelines that may be of help in writing articles. Other than those, you can be confident in following the guidelines presented by Wikipedia and Wikipedia's World of Greyhawk Wikiproject. It's always a good idea to check on Wikipedia to see if there's already information covering a topic you're interested in writing about. Because Mediawiki uses Creative Commons, ity's perfectly fine to copy/paste information—as long as you also copy the citations and references.

• It is our pleasure to note to our readers and contributors that the Encyclopedia Greyhawkania Index (first authored by Jason Zavoda) is included as topical excerpts in a table at the end of most articles on the GLoG GH Wiki here on GHO! Jason's work continued through '08 and his work was carried on and updated by Eric Johnson, Richard "Longetalos" DiIola, Jason "PupickDad" Jaobson, a French fan group, and numerous other fans over the years.
  Sean Williams wrote the SQL code for the wiki to be able to pull EGI data and put it on the articles. We give thanks to Jason and we're proud of the work so many fans have continued over so many years, and it makes us incredibly proud to have this added functionality on the GLoG wiki!
• It is also our pleasure to note another contributor here on GHO! The GLoG and GHO heraldry are provided by Bryan "Saracenus" Blumkotz. He's been making the shields and coats-of-arms for GH for more than a decade, and they're included in prestigious places like Anna B. Meyer's maps.
• The Editors and Admins of Greyhawkonline.com, would like to thank the owners and contributors of Canonfire!, the oldest continuously operating Greyhawk fansite on the 'net, especially and specifically Gary Holian, for creating the previous home of the Great Library of Greyhawk wiki (ghwiki.greyparticle.com) for so many years. Also, for making it available for GHO to export and continue the exact same wiki that's been beneficial to so many fans for so long, and for allowing the use of the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 license so that it may be used by everyone for their personal research and edification at their gaming tables for years to come! And many thanks to Lamashtu (w80) for hosting an "emergency mirror" archived version of the wiki (Feb '17—Dec '18), ensuring it never went entirely missing.
