Order of the Sovereign Remedy is an organization within the Duchy of Urnst.[1]
Description
The Order of the Sovereign Remedy is a charitable organization of clerics and healers based in Seltaren.
History
After the Temple Coalition Revolt, hostility toward the clergy in the Duchy led to the dismantling of temples and a lack of safe havens for healers. Duke Justinian’s disdain for the clergy culminated in his death, with no healers coming to his aid. Amidst political restructuring, House Kruske relinquished its seat in the Honorable Chamber.
In Fireseek 572 CY, Lord Maeltan Kruske proposed a reconciliation effort to the new Duke, Karll Lorinar, suggesting the creation of a hospital in Lower Seltaren for remaining healers. The Order of the Sovereign Remedy was founded under strict guidelines, focused solely on healing.
Following the Teranor Tragedy in 591 CY, the Order was granted a martial branch—the Order of the Chalice—to combat evil outsiders. A Knight Commander was stationed to oversee training and recruitment.
In 594 CY, after a disaster in Lower Seltaren, House Kruske provided a new facility in Upper Seltaren. This allowed the Order to expand into a full hospital and training center, while the Order of the Chalice gained a dedicated library for studying the eradication of evil outsiders.
