The Kron Hills (Flann-aerich in the old Flan tongue) are a range of mineral-rich hills spilling from the eastern side of the Lortmil Mountains and onward into the western Gnarley Forest. The Kron Hills form the northern border of Celene, and the southern border of Verbobonc.
The northern region of the hills form a gnomish realm known as the Free Assembly of the Kron Hills, ruled by Urthgan the Eldest of Tulvar.
In ancient days, the region was known as "Flann-aerich".[1]
Ecology
Notable flora of the Kron Hills include the flowering narcotic plant tanbrosh, which grows near the village of Rastor. Notable fauna include the camprat.
Inhabitants
Many sylvan elves wander around in the eastern parts, where the hills peak in the Gnarley Forest, but they are usually suspicious of strangers and prefer to keep to themselves. In the western parts, near the Lortmil Mountains, some dwarven enclaves can be found. Except in the Gnarley Forest areas, scattered enclaves of humans live in peace with the other inhabitants.[2]
Population
Nearly 20,000 gnomes inhabited these hills from 576 to 579 CY.[2][3]
