In 461 CY, The Principality withdrew from the union, and Keoland officially recognized the independence of the County around that time. Sometime between then and 583 CY the Duchy became independent. Also in 583, at the beginning of the Greyhawk Wars, the Duchy signed the Treaty of Nicola Dra, which was a mutual defense pact between Keoland, Gran March, the Yemoanry, County of Ulek, and Celene.
