Molag is a city in the northern Flanaess, notably the capital of the Horned Lands in early years, and later as the "summer capital" of the Empire of Iuz.
History
Molag was taken as the capital of the newly formed Horned Lands in 513 CY by worshippers of Nerull allied with warriors from the Bandit Kingdoms, who would go on to become the first Hierarchs of the Horned Society.
Although Iuz returns and starts taking down the imposters in 570, he does not recapture the southern part of his former empire controlled by the Horned Society until 583 CY.
When Iuz conquered Molag, he did so by subtly supplanting the Hierarchs and replacing their devil forces with his own demons, using shapechanging abilities to take the shape of the previous ruler's fiends.
Geography
Molag sits on the southwestern border of the Horned Lands, close to enemy nation Furyondy.
