The Star Cairns is an adventure for Dungeons & Dragons, set in the World of Greyhawk.

The adventure was published by Wizards of the Coast in 1998 under its recently acquired TSR imprint for the second edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules. It is the first of three adventures in the "Lost Tombs" series for the Greyhawk setting and was followed in the same year by Crypt of Lyzandred the Mad and The Doomgrinder.

Plot summary

The adventure concerns the Star Cairns, a series of stone warrens located near the Free City of Greyhawk which were used in antiquity by Suloise mages as magical research centers.

From the adventure introduction

"This adventure is five smaller lnked locales, each with its own set of inhabitants, traps, and rewards. The Star Cairns have always been places of danger and mystery for those that heard the legends of their history—especially with the fare of the fifth “lost” cairn being unknown. During the course of exploring these areas, the player characters will find tantalizing fragments of history, seeds of adventures to come, and a chance to make a name for themselves."[1]"
