Most events relating to the invasion of [[Geoff]] by giants are dated [[584 CY]] by most sources, including the original [[Wars]] and [[From the Ashes]], although the date is not always obvious from the text; and the [[Living Greyhawk Gazetteer]] p.49, which states the date of 584 CY. The contrary date of 583 CY appears in [[Against the Giants: the Liberation of Geoff]] (1999). This may be interpreted either as an error, or a suggestion that sporadic capture of several settlements took place in 583 and a more systematic conquest in 584. | |||
