The following guidelines are used in order to compose and fill out pages regardeing various organizations in the World of Greyhawk setting. In addition to the general Writing Guidelines, articles on organizations should use the sections listed below—note that some subjects will not require every section, and unused section headers should be removed until they are needed..

A few things to keep in mind:

 • The organization infobox should be used along with these guidelines for articles about any specific organization within the World of Greyhawk campaign setting such as an identifiable guild, association, royal house, knighthood, council, or other similar group of people, with as many values filled in as possible.
 • The infobox should include the organization’s name only if it differs substantially from the page name. Otherwise, it is normally added automatically.
 • The introductory sentence should include both the organization's common and full names, and any alternate names each in bold , as well as general organization.
Greyhawk Organization
Example
The Guild of Wizardry illustrated by Valerie Valusek on the poster map in The City of Greyhawk boxed set. (1989)
Other names:Guild of Wizards, Wizard Guild, Wizard School
Type:Arcane spellcasters' guild
Founded:393 CY
Ended:Still practicing
Leader:Kieren Jalucian
Members:nearly 1,000, any proven practitioner of magic
Headquarters:Free City of Greyhawk
Allies:Society of Magi

Description

A general overview of the organization should be provided, including its goals or purpose.

History

This section should contain a historical overview of the organization. Dates should be given in a ### CY format to include wikilinks to a page for that year.

Members

Description of the types of individuals who join the organization is given here. Additionally, if a total number of members, it should be included here (with citation).

Notable individuals

Any named NPCs who are or have been members of the organization should be listed here (and wikilinked if they are significant).

Headquarters

If there are any particular realms, settlements, or other locations the organization is active in or operates in should be detailed here. Locations with articles on this wiki should be placed in in brackets when included.

Structure

Alignment

Either the overall alignment of the organization or any alignment required of its members is described here.

Ranks

Names and descriptions of any specific levels of membership/leadership within the organization. Each rank should be given with a definition of what that ranks is or what its duties entail.

Do not create seperate subsection headers for each rank.

Heraldry

A description of the organization's symbol, if it has one, is stated in this section. If an image is available, it should be placed as a thumbnail at the beginning of the section.

If no image of the organization's location or other illustration is available, the symbol should be placed in the infobox in the usual manner follwing the Image use policy and the general Writing Guidelines.

Resources

Significant resources which are solely controlled by the organization are listed here. These may include raw material, refined goods, trade goods, land, wealth, manufactured goods, services, and other assets (though specific businesses are listed in "Locations" or "Headquarters"). If an unusual amount of infomration exists about these, individual significant resources can be broken into their own subheading.

Some services (such as providing personell) may be listed here as part of the economy, but establishments and their proprietors should be listed in Locations or under People.

Currency

If the organization has its own seperate form of currency (not including that of a nation or realm it may be in), the names and values of the organization's currencies in use are described in this section.

Rumors and legends

See general Writing Guidelines—References for usage.

Categories

Categories should be added to the end of the page. In addition to any other applicable category, these should always include . On any related article about NPCs belonging to this organization, those pages should include a category for any organizations of which they are members. Use either by inserting the group's name, or by using the "magic word" wikicode .
