This template is used primarily for quoting real-world people, most often when they are speaking in person, on social media and forums, etc. Also use this template if a person writes an introduction or preface to a sourcebook, it's attributable to a single person, and does not include game mechanics.

Usage

Do not place extra line-breaks after the quote.

The basic implementation of this template, with source inline (quote text, name, and source are required parameters:

Inline text.
{{quote|Your Text Goes Here|Author's Name|source|year or dd mmm yyyy}}
More inline text.

Displays as:

Inline text.

"Your Text Goes Here"
—Author's Name, source (year)

OR

"Your Text Goes Here"
—Author's Name, source (dd mmm yyyy)

More inline text.

Your quote must be cited. Author and source are minimum requirements. After the year, you may place an citation parameter which will be included in the "References" section.

Use the {{csb|}} template or <ref>standard references</ref> as normal for these citations.

Inline text.
{{quote|Your Text Goes Here|Author's name|source|year|citation}}
