Environment
Found in numbers in the Lower Planes, especially Hades, thankfully they can only be summoned singly to the Prime Material plane unless brought forth as a horde by an artifact of the likes of the Bringer of Doom.
Typical physical characteristics
There is no typical hordling, they vary in sizes, shape, type of limbs, etc. It is said that no hordling form ever repeats itself.
Alignment
Evil is the one constant and generally they are chaotic by nature.
Society
The chaotic nature, overwhelming anger, and hatred displayed by hordlings precludes a society. The highest form of organization for these fiends, without outside intervention, is a horde. Even so, these hordes are very destructive and short lived. With outside influence bringing hordlings to heel they are only "loyal" until their leader display first sign of weakness or inattention, leading them to attack their "master" or desert at the first opportunity.
