The jalzanda tree is primarily known for its sedative or soporific effects. The jalzanda blooms in late spring (Coldeven) and the blooms give off a pleasant purfume which induces lethargy.[1]
The popular Oltary Park in Rauxes is well-known for having jalzanda trees.[1]
Oil is pressed from the purple blooms, and heated or boiled, refining it for medicinal purposes. It is used in very small quantities for "calming rambunctious children" or to "sooth troubled slumbers." In large quantities, it can put someone into a coma-like state nearly indistinguishable from death. Neutralize poison will remove the effects of the jalzanda oil.[2]
