Ishainken is minor princeling of House Naelax living in Rauxes. He is known to be a lush and is one of the main patrons of Zelizar's House, where he generally stay with his retinue, looking for anything to relieve his crushing boredom and general disdain for life [1]
Description
Appearance
Ishainken is 5'9", and has pitted skin, brown eyes and light brown hair, which is lank and greasy due to lack of washing.[1]
Personality
Ishainken is hateful, nihilistic and apathetic about anything other than his own pleasure. He is also spiteful and completely unprincipled. In short, he is an unpleasant sort.[1]
Home
Though Ishainken maintains his estate, Castle Redegian, he spends most of his time in Rauxes, indulging in his various vices. He usually posts up with his retinue at Zelizar's house.
His lands are fertile farmland east of the capital, bordering the Imeda River extending 20 miles north. They produce more than half the food shipped into Rauxes which keeps citizens from dying of a lack of sustenance.[2] In his absence, the Companion Guard has to occasionally visit the estate and stop in-fighting amonst the troops there.[3]
Equipment and possessions
The only magic items Ishainken regularly keeps on him are protective in nature; he has a set of leather armor +3 and a ring of protection +3.[1]
Relationships
Prince Ishainken is a cousin to Overking Ivid V.[4]
Allies and minions
While in Rauxes, Prince Ishainken entrusts his estate to his castellan Xeriquan, and keeps a relatively small entourage with him, which consists of six fighters two thieves. The more talented of the two thieves is Retchen Sobibel (Thf 8), who knows that Ishainken had evidence that Ivid's claim to the throne is illegitimate.[1]
