The Growfest Eel Run is a festival held in [Furyondy] in the town of Caronis marking the annual migration of large numbers of Lake Quag elvers (young eels) down the Velverdyva River to the Nyr Dyv. At night during the week-long run, the lanterns of the numerous net fishers working the river can be seen along its banks. Besides the fishing, the event is marked with feasting, dancing, singing, and the consumption of large amounts of beer and mead.
