Neb Rentar, also possibly known as Neb Rentar, was a powerful fighter.

Description

Neb Rentar was formally of some non-evil alignment, but was corrupted by the magic of Iuz.

Relationships

Neb Rentar an associate of Tenser and Bigby. He is rumored to be presently associated with the Scarlet Brotherhood and the cult of Tharizdun.

History

In Iuz the Evil by Carl Sargent, a "powerful fighter going by the unlikely name of Neb Retnar" is listed as accompanying Tenser and Bigby on their failed mission to prevent Robilar, Riggby, and Quij from freeing the demigod Iuz from beneath Castle Greyhawk. Though Iuz was freed, Bigby nearly destroyed him with his crushing hand spell before the demigod escaped to the Abyss. The dark and chaotic magic left behind altered Neb Retnar's alignment. He is rumored to have since joined both the Scarlet Brotherhood and the cult of Tharizdun. Iuz still considers him to be a major enemy.

Publishing history

It's not completely certain that Neb Rentar (the magic-user) and Neb Retnar (the fighter) are intended to be the same character.
