The Horde of Elemental Evil was an army that came from the Temple of Elemental Evil near Village of Nulb. The horde consisted of evil men, orcs, gnolls and ogres leady by cultist. The horde was mostly destroyed by an army of men, elves, dwarves and gnomes lead by Prince Thrommel IV.
