Template:Greyhawk source Prisoners of the Maze is the first of Robert J. Kuntz's trilogy of "Maze of Zayene" modules.
Publishing history
Prisoners of the Maze was originally published in 1987 by Creations Unlimited with only 2,500 copies printed, and republished as a d20 adventure by Necromancer Games in 2001. In the original Greyhawk campaign, Prisoners of the Maze was set in the Great Kingdom, but certain characters have been renamed here: Ivid V has been renamed Ovar, and Xaene has been renamed Zayene.
Prisoners of the Maze is followed by the other modules in the Maze of Zayene series: Dimensions of Flight, Tower Chaos, and The Eight Kings.
Plot
After a failed attempt to assassinate King Ovar the Crazed, the player characters are banished to the deadly maze of the wizard Zayene.
