In Harvester 584 CY, during the Great Signing of peace in the Greyhawk Wars, a magical battle erupted that spread out in the Old City. Otiluke and Tenser of the Circle of Eight died and could not be resurrected. Rary of Ket, another Circle member, was seen fleeing with Lord Robilar into the Bright Desert, and it became known that Rary had turned traitor and had slain his old friends.
