Paizo Publishing is a publishing company that specializes in magazines aimed at audiences interested in role-playing games and other gaming-related hobbies. They also run an online retail store selling role-playing games, gaming aids, board games, comic books, toys, clothing and other products. The company is based in Bellevue, Washington.
Paizo's magazines include Dragon and Dungeon magazines, both published under license from Wizards of the Coast. In early 2007, it was announced that the license was terminated, effective September 2007.[1]
The company formerly produced a magazine called Undefeated, and in 2004 - 2005 briefly published the venerable science fiction title Amazing Stories.
The CEO of Paizo is Lisa Stevens. Erik Mona holds the title of "Publisher", and is also Editor-in-Chief of Dragon. The Editor-in-Chief of Dungeon is James Jacobs.
