Paizo Publishing is an American publishing company located in Bellevue, Washington that specializes in game aids and adventures for "the world's most popular fantasy role-playing game" (Dungeons and Dragons). They also run an online retail store selling role-playing games, gaming aids, board games, comic books, toys, clothing and other products. Paizo also has an active forum community.
Paizo's magazines formerly included Dragon and Dungeon magazines, both published under license from Wizards of the Coast. In early 2007, it was announced that the license had lapsed and would not be renewed, effective September 2007.[1] A new monthly publication, Pathfinder, will continue the Adventure Path concept featured in Dungeon.
Other Paizo product lines include the GameMastery line of standalone adventures and accessories, as well as the Planet Stories brand publishing classic fantasy, science fiction, and science fantasy novels.
The company formerly produced a magazine called Undefeated, and in 2004 - 2005 briefly published the venerable science fiction title Amazing Stories.
