The ‘‘‘Weird of Gnatmarsh’’’ was a sorceress who lead a cult in the early 570s based in the [[Gnatmarsh]] in the west of [[Nyrond]]. The cult worshipped various depraved and wicked powers of the swamp, and grew powerful while plaguing the surrounding territory. It killed and maimed humans, dwarves and elves, even delving into the neighbouring [[Celadon Forest]] to the north.
