Description
The Spurned Vale is a region within the Duchy of Urnst, located in a loop of the Nesser River adjacent to the Celadon Forest. Nearly 600 Nyrondese fled here following the Greyhawk Wars, trying to make a living from the edges of the forest and foothills. This angered the wild and strong Urnst hill-folk, and xenophobic wood-folk living in the forested hills to the northwest. Skirmishes and a battle reduced this Nyrondese community to wretchedness, being little more than rag clad scavengers, and some began to worship evil deities in desperation.[1]
