Description

In Spring 585 CY the Sword Road was a muddied trail between Mithat and Kurast's Tower, along the then border with the remnants of the Prelacy of Almor ruled by Duke Szeffrin. It was constantly patrolled by Nyrondese troops and travelled by supply wagons bringing food, clothes, and weaponry to constant reprovision the many militia posts along the road. Earthwork defenses and fortified militia posts were being erected (similar to Furyondy's Flare Line).[1][2]

At that time the armies of Nyrond were amassed along the Sword Road in defense against Duke Szeffrin's forces.[3] Two great fiery stone chariots recently flew above the road near Bloodcrystal attacking Nyrond forces below.[2]
