The Mace of Saint Cuthbert ( or simply the Mace of Cuthbert)[1] is a powerful artifact, and the property of the deity Saint Cuthbert.

According to Dragon #100, for a time the mace was hidden on Earth, to keep it safe from evil forces. It was said to reside in London.

Description

The Mace of Cuthbert has a bronzewood haft Dragon #358 describes the Mace as made of bronzewood. It also says there are other, lesser versions of the Mace made by his church as an homage to the original which are not the artifact personal weapon of the Saint. there may be more than one powerful mace with this name.

Powers

+5 holy lawful disruption heavy mace which allows the wielder to cast searing light (caster level 20) at will as a spell-like ability.[1][2]

It can also detect evil, cast light, heal, and makes the wielder immune to fear, and to cause fear with a glance.[2]

The Mace can also bless, (by touch), know alignment, tongues, and remove curse.[3]
