Parren Ludern is a Ranger in the Adri Forest. He is the head of a highly organized group of rangers centered in Elversford. He is descended from House Cranden, and has particularly close ties with Captain-General Osmeran of Cordrend in Nyrond. He is also leader of one of the factions of rangers who defend the forest. His rangers are conscientiously unassociated with those led by Prisstyne Carnhuis

Perren controls a group of about 80 rangers who patrol the area around Elversford and other fortified settlements within the Adri Forest. His rangers are strictly regimented and wear insignia patches to show their skill level. Rangers of first and second level wear a single lime green stripe. Rangers of third through fifth level wear two lime green stripes. Rangers of sixth through eighth level wear three lime green stripes, and those of nineth level or higher wear a symbol that is an inverted chevron with three lime green stripes.
