It is the first of three adventures in the "Lost Tombs" series for the Greyhawk setting and was followed in the same year by Crypt of Lyzandred the Mad and The Doomgrinder.

Plot summary

The adventure concerns the Star Cairns, a series of stone warrens located near the Free City of Greyhawk which were used in antiquity by Suloise mages as magical research centers.
