Greyhawk Location
Vohoun Ocean
General information
Alt. names:Pearl Sea

The Vohoun Ocean is the local name for the Pearl Sea used by the inhabitants of the island areas off the southeastern Amdeio coast. Where the ocean meets the west coast of Hepmonaland, it is known as the Vogan Sea.

"Although some texts refer to this as the "Pearl Sea," the pirates who live on its scattered islands call it the Vohoun. which means "frothy" in their language, probably a reference to the swirling fog banks that hide islands, reefs, ships and creatures. The Vohoun is home to many sea monsters, and a foolish mariner is likely to end up a meal. The Amedio coast is full of dangerous reefs and submerged rocks, and ships must take great care to avoid being holed."[1]
