Hornish is a small but bustling trade town that links Torrich with Kalstrand and Jalpa. It is one of many such market and trade towns that have sprung up along the routes between those cities, although it is unique for its boating yards and sheds for canoes.
Geography
The town of Hornish is located on the Flanmi River, west and very slightly to the south of Torrich on the road between Torrich and Kalstrand.
People
The town is known for its extremely skilled canoemen, who act as scouts and escorts for small merchant vessels traveling the Flanmi. They are all fighters of level 1-3 with at least 13 dex, and are known to wield short swords and throwing knives and carrying bucklers, while wearing leather armor. Their skill in handling their compact and well-designed canoes lets them travel at an average speed of 5 miles per hour.
