Jalpa is a city in the Kingdom of Ahlissa, which a bustling trade city, which has more hostelries than any other city in the Flanaess.
History
The city did not do well during and just after the Greyhawk Wars, losing many of the Urnst, Nyrondese and Greyhawk caravans that came through from Almor before the war. Since roughly one third of the population made their living providing services to travelers, this sharply increased poverty, as the city did not have the same reserves of wealth as Kalstrand. There was also a flood of refugees from the east, who brought an evil outlook, and between those two factors, crime rates increased.
