The Okeoavali River is a river in southern Hepmonaland on the west coast.
Description
" Named after the two landmarks it touches, this river does little to clean the Avali swamp, spreading into a thin sluggish pool that drains slowly into the sea."[1]
History
Geography
The Okeoakialo is one of two rivers flowing east out of the Okeo Hills. The name is simply a compound of its source and its mouth. The Okeoavali is the northern twin to the Okeoakialo. The Akialo Swamp is fed along the river's length, increasingly more extensive closer to the river's mouth.[2]
Vay Nama sits on the eastern shore of the Avali, thirty-five miles from its headwaters.
